Hey I recently installed your software with VS 2008 and everything works great except for i cant see any my Tortuous svn icons. Is there something else i need to do to make this happen? I installed vs with all the default options and same with your software, and same with tortuous so i really cant think of anything that would be wrong.
thanks again for the great add in!

HI Eibach, I haven't seen this happen before and suspect it's more a tortoise issue than with the VS File Explorer. Have you tried uninstalling & reinstalling either the VSFE or Tortoise? Which version of Tortoise are you using? Version of Windows? Sorry I can't be more help at the moment. Cheers, John-Daniel Trask |

Hey John, Thanks for the quick reply. I have reproduced the problem twice, once on my work computer, and once on my home computer. Both with very similer setups. -Work computer
-Home computer
Actually the exact same setups lol. I have not tried uninstalling either of the two. But i dont really want to either. I am willing to reinstall tortoiseSVN but i dont really want to reinstall VS =/. Could it be a 64bit problem? thanks again

I'll hive a whirl on my 64bit Vista test box and see if I can replicate the issue.
You certainly shouldn't need to reinstall Visual Studio or uninstall anything for the long term, I meant more just reinstalling Tortoise or our plug-in :-)
I'll let you know how I get on.
Cheers,
John-Daniel

Indeed I see the same issue as you - on 64 bit Vista only however.
I will look into this (we use a 3rd party component for the directory listings so I will contact them and see if they can issue a fix).
Cheers,
John-Daniel

just checking back in, wondering if there has been any updates on this? |

I followed up with the component provider and they apparently cannot recreate the issue - odd since I could so easily recreate it! I'm continuing to hit them up about it but their response rate has slowed given the time of year unfortunately. Kind regards, John-Daniel |

Thanks.
I understand. Keep me posted =)

Hi Eibach, You can resolve the issue by installing the 32bit version of Tortoise. Jeremy here at Mindscape tried that and it seems to resolve the issue. Suspect the issue isn't so much with the control itself but that because Visual Studio is 32bit it will use values from the 32bit section of the registry. Bit of a lame workaround but I'm not sure there is anything we can do to resolve that issue. I hope that helps, John-Daniel |

Hey,
Thanks for the workaround, i suppose it will have to do for now. Keep me updated if you guys ever get it up and running for x64 =)
thanks again for the great plugin!
