Mindscape PropertyGrid Display Options

* Nevemind. I found the answer after a little more looking but there was no delete option for this thread (unless it missed it too....)*

I have two questions I haven't been able to find answers to:

1. Is it possible to limit what the properties that the PropertyGrid displays (besides using CanDisplayReadOnlyProperties). I have some properties that I want to have modifiable from both the UI and code but others I only want modifiable by code.

   • note: It seems a possible way to implement this (if some way doesn't already exist) would be to have a custom attribute that could be added to any properties you want displayed. If the property has the attribute it shows up in the PropertyGrid, otherwise it doesn't.

2. Is it possible to give the property name in the grid a different value. e.g. If the name of the property was 'FirstName' have it display 'First Name' instead.

   • note: It also seems if it isn't already possible it could be done with a custom attribute.

Great to hear you found the solution. You were certainly on the right track when mentioning the property attributes.

For anyone who stumbles upon this post: [Browsable(false)] can be used to prevent the property from being displayed in the property grid, and [DisplayName("DISPLAY_NAME")] can be used to tell the property grid how to display the name of the property.
