Since I downloaded the latest WPF Elements 6 build today (first update since August) I found a new feature--grid auto-scrolling when the user is selecting cells by dragging (extended selection mode). I had been planning to ask for this feature since Excel and most other grids support it, and users expect it. While it is nice that this feature has been added, I am a bit disappointed in how it works. It scrolls at a single speed, pretty slow, regardless of the mouse position, whereas other grids generally scroll faster as the mouse is moved further from the edge of the grid. Also, the highlighting of the selected cells does not seem to update unless the mouse is continually moved, which is a bit odd. I am hoping the feature can be improved. Thanks Peter |

Hello Peter What you are looking at is just the very first basic version of this feature which was added quite recently. It was added quickly for a user who requested it, and this implementation was good enough to start off with. I'll look at improving this next week - along with your other forum post. -Jason Fauchelle |

Hello Peter In the next nightly build, the speed of the smart scrolling will now be based on how far away the mouse is from the grid. The selection will also update more often than before. It doesn't always perfectly update the selection, but it is as good as we can get it for now. -Jason Fauchelle |

Hi Jason, Thanks for the quick response. A little lag in the selection highlighting is probably perfectly acceptable. Peter |
