All the documentation for SearchEngineFileLocation shows absolute paths. Are virtual paths supported? Seems like this would be a handy feature especially in shared hosted environments. |

Its up to the implementation of the individual search providers as to how they want to use this value, Im going to assume you are using the Lucene one though in which case no, this is required to be an absolute directory path. If you wanted to use a virtual path you could just map this as required with Server.MapPath
