Does Visual Studio File Explorer support VS 2010? And if not, is there any timeline of when it will support it? Thank you! |

Hi, Sorry for the slow reply. Currently we do not support VS 2010 but have plans to add support once VS 2010 is out of beta. Kind regards, John-Daniel Trask |

Please, could someone confirm me if File Explorer is already available for VS 2010? I created a thread about 1 month ago but never got an answer. I would like to use this tool ... But if not VS 2010 is available I will need to find an alternative. Thank You, Miguel |

Hi Miguel, It has not been updated for VS2010 yet. We have several products that integrate with VS 2010 (LightSpeed, SimpleDB Tools) and as those have paying customers they are our priority for delivering VS2010 support. Having said that, it is on our todo list. I'll post again to this thread when it's available. John-Daniel Trask |

Hello, Any news about Mindscape VS File Explorer and Visual Studio 2010? Is there an ETA when it will be available? I always used it in VS 2008 and I really would like to use it in VS 2010 which is what I use now. Why don't you make it not free but having it upgraded? Thank You, Miguel |

Hello Miguel, We've got a beta build of a VS File Explorer for 2010 and I've attached it to this post. You may find that your browser downloads the file with a .zip extension instead of .vsix. If that happens just change the extension back to .vsix. Then just double-click it and restart VS2010 to install it. Please do note this is a beta and some things may not work quite right -- do let us know if you run into any problems or if it all seems to be working for you! |

Just so you know, the addon seems to work on the "Integrated Shell" version of Visual Studio 2010 although I had to modify the vsix file to allow installation on versions other than Pro. Otherwise it's awesome! Thanks. |

Thank you for the Beta Version. I have been using for the past days and until now didn't find any problem. I will report it if I find something wrong. Thank You Again, Miguel |

Are there any plans for VS 2012? |
|
|
Yep, we have now updated this for Visual Studio 2012 so if you download an updated VSIX and run that you should now see an option to install for Visual Studio 2012.
