Hi, I don't like to brag but I have quite a large model ;) Finding an entity in the graphical view can be a drag especially after clicking "Arrange". In the project explorer of VS there is a Lightspeed tab with the Entiies folder. That sufices for setting entity proeprties. BUT ifI want to make relatioships in the graphical view this tab wil do me no good. What about a context menu on the entity like "GoTo Entity in graphical view" ? Best regards!

We actually have a form of this via the Filter box. Type the name of an entity and the view will filter out everything that doesn't match (and move to something that does match). So you can move to an entity by typing its name, then deleting it again (to see the other entities around it). This was added post-2.2 so you will need a nightly build or the 3.0 beta to get this (see the FAQ for download info). See the following blog posts for more info: http://www.mindscape.co.nz/blog/index.php/2009/05/11/navigating-around-models-in-the-lightspeed-designer/ http://www.mindscape.co.nz/blog/index.php/2009/05/26/sub-views-in-the-lightspeed-designer/ Hope this helps! |
