Hi All, I recently found out that my goto ORM (OpenAccess from Telerik) has decided to drop support for their visual designer in visual studio. I think this is a bad decision but it seems to be the trend these days. Their logic for doing so is that the future is all Code First design and Microsoft is going to be doing the same for the next version of EF. I told them you can pry my GUI from my cold dead hands, I am a visual person and like designers, they make my job much easier. I am now on the hunt for a new goto ORM and LightSpeed is a good contender but before I invest a lot of time and effort can you confirm you will not being doing the same. Do you have any plans to drop support for the visual designer/Database First design pattern in the future? Thanks, Frank |

Hi All, I am also curious about this, and besides that, is there any new roadmap available for LightSpeed? E.g. Visual Studio 2015 support, .NET 5 support, etc.? I am using LightSpeed in multiple projects and want to know if LightSpeed is still being developed by Mindscape? There has been little LightSpeed news lately.. Thanks, Luuk |

The main update currently being finalised is Visual Studio 2015 support which we hope to have available in the nightlies next week. We definitely have no plans to drop the designer support, this is a key part of the product offering. The only limitation we may run into is if Microsoft drops support for us to integrate a design surface in some later version of VS :)
