I found this in your documentation:
Although Firebird capability still exists in LightSpeed 3, it is no longer actively maintained. New features are not tested with Firebird, and Firebird support may be removed in a future version of LightSpeed.In particular, new LightSpeed 3 features such as advanced querying (joins and groups, and some LINQ features) and migrations are not supported on Firebird.
I am using sqlite and want to use your orm. Is there any risk that you kick the sqlite support too? Sqlite is totally missing in the database index of your documentation. |

Hi Lisa, There is no chance we'll remove SQLite - it's used by many of the LightSpeed customers out there. We added Firebird early on, and do not have many developers left using LightSpeed with Firebird. We haven't stopped supporting Firebird but we haven't made any improvements either, as the documentation states. I would strongly encourage sticking with SQLite - it's an amazing product with a massive following and many third party products work with it. SQLite missing from the database index is a mistake and we'll update the documentation accordingly. Thank you very much for pointing this out! I hope that helps, John-Daniel Trask |
