Can LightSpeed support the Amazon RDS databases? We are tossing around the idea of using one of their MySql instances and are curious... Thanks Jeffrey |

Im not exactly sure but my understanding is RDS gives you native access to either MySQL or Oracle (depending on your flavor preference), so on the assumption that our ADO.NET providers could connect to them in the same way you would connect to a normal MySQL TCP endpoint then this should work just fine. We would certainly be interested in hearing your experiences if you end up going down this route!

I used LightSpeed with RDS/MySQL. Also used LightSpeed under Mono talking to MySQL on the same box. Works great. I found SQL Azure to be a better match for me on pricing and uptime. The backup/updates downtime window with RDS is a little weird. |
