Hi quicoli, Thanks for the feedback. Our experience with LightSpeed was that Firebird was relatively expensive for us to support (for a variety of reasons including documentation and tooling), and that the number of Firebird users didn't justify that investment. So we kinda carried that experience across when prioritising databases for the NHibernate designer. That said, the main cost in LightSpeed was the query engine, which obviously isn't an issue with the NHibernate designer. And I believe the Firebird docs and tooling have greatly improved since we last worked with it -- we know the Firebird community is very active and passionate! So this is probably something we should take a second look at. Thanks for the suggestion! |
