I can't seem to get the latest two nightlies to install. I get the following two errors before it rolls back: (The second errors appears after clicking retry on the first.) This is on Windows 10 Pro x64. Visual Studios 2010, 2013, and 2015 are installed. If I select individual designers to install it fails the same with all, however the last number of the DLL's fine name changes. Seems as if it's a permissions issue, but I can't seem to get around it. Running the installer as admin doesn't change the result. Thanks for any insight. |

We will either be attempting to write this to Program Files (LightSpeed install folder) or when installing it into the GAC. You mentioned this was for the previous 2 nightlies, have previous versions successfully installed?

Hello. Jeremy. I haven't ever tried installed the 5.5 prior to these attempts, but have installed nightlies in the past. However, that was pre-Windows 10 update. |

It does sound like a permissions issue - if you try installing 5.0 does it have the same problem? Also when the install hits that stage are there files under C:\Program Files (x86)\Mindscape\LightSpeed? If yes then if you look under the Tools/Designer sub-folder do you see the file its complaining about in that folder?

Hello, Jeremy. Yes, I experience the same with 5.0. Yes, there are some files in the LS directory. No, the intergration file(s) is not one of them. |

Stupid bamboo-eating-monochrome antivirus. I was wrestling with an intermittent issue with debugging and IIS that, through trial and error, I isolated to Panda AV. With a shrug, I figured if it was stopping one of my assemblies from being copied why not the Lightspeed ones. After disabling it, the install worked. Panda never presented any errors or notices. |
