Sorting in DataGrid gets reset with updates

The attached video shows two grids (Master and Details) sorted by Name (using SortDirection="Ascending" in XAML) At some point,when the bottom grid receives

Note that

1. Initially both grids show the heading Name in gray, because that's the current sorting.
2. When I click on a row in the top grid, the ItemsSource of the bottom grid gets assigned and the data is shown... so far so good.
3. An instant later, there is a new row inserted in the ObservableCollection shown in the bottom grid, and that resets the sorting (suddengly the column "Name" in the bottom grid does not appear in gray

There are some known scenarios that we don't currently handle. When the items source is changed, the data grid will remove any sorting because the items source (most likely) isn't in a sorted order any more. In a future version there will be options to handle this differently. You may also note that after you've initially set the items source of the Details grid, the items are not sorted. At the moment, sorting needs to occur after the items source is set. Again this will be improved in a future version.

You can still achieve the desired behavior by telling the grid to sort the items whenever you want. For example, after the items source has been set or after it has been modified. You can do this by setting the sort direction of the column you want to sort.
