I downloaded the NHibernate designer twice, but every time I execute it... I get the message - "The file is not a valid VSIX package". I have Windows 7 professional 64 bit version, Visual Studio 2010 permium version. The downloaded file size is 3161 KB Appreciate a quick response.
Thanks in advance Naresh |

Hello Naresh, Thanks for reporting this issue! That file size looks a bit off -- we think something may have gone wrong with an upload. We have now uploaded a new version to the Visual Studio Gallery and hopefully you will no longer see this error. To download it, go into Tools > Extension Manager, click Online Gallery and enter "NHibernate Designer" in the Search box. If you still see a problem, let us know and we will investigate further.

I tried again and am getting the same error when trying to follow the instrauctions above... when I try to download the VSIX package directly from the site.. I am getting an access denied error. |

There does seem to have been an issue with the download link on our site. I've notified our Web team and they have now fixed it. If that still doesn't work, the Visual Studio Gallery download is still working fine for me. When I go to this page: http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/1789e1f3-81a8-4667-967b-e4dc0bbbdf21 and click the Download button I get a file of size 3285115 bytes. Same if I use the now-fixed link on our site. Right-clicking this file and choosing Open displays the VSIX installer after which everything works fine. Could you give this a try? Do you see a different file size? Does the download fail? Does the download appear to succeed but you still get the 'invalid VSIX' error? Thanks! |
