Are there any plans for visual studio 2012 support? |
Yes - the Designer actually already supports Visual Studio 2012 :) When you run up the VSIX just make sure Visual Studio 2012 is checked and it will be installed accordingly. So we can help make it clearer for others in the future what led you to believe that VS2012 was not already supported?

I downloaded and installed the trial/free verison yesterday to evalulate whether to select this product or a competitor as our company's development platform tool for NHibernate and it did not have a selection box for Visual Studio 2012, only Visual Studio 2010. Running the VSIX again also prompts me that the product has already been installed for all applicable versions. I also assumed there was not support for Visual Studio 2012 considering that the product page for this tool is specifically labeled for Visual Studio 2010 and I found no reference to Visual Studio 2012. |

Thanks for that - Ill look to get that updated. In the meantime if you download the VSIX from here: http://www.mindscapehq.com/products/NHDesigner/download then this will install for Visual Studio 2012.

In a strange twist, this file broke support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. When I went to the download page, I noticed that the file it downloads has changed from a .VSIX extension to a .ZIP extension. I downloaded it anyway and renamed it to .VSIX and executed the installer. This time, there was an option for Visual Studio 2012 and the installation seemed to work normally. However, now, when launching Visual Studio 2010, the extension is disabled and cannot be renabled. It does work correctly now in Visual Studio 2012 though. |

That sounds odd - Did you uninstall your existing installation from VS 2010 prior to installing this update? Can you uninstall it (and then just re-install)?

That fixed it Jeremy. Thanks for the help. In the meantime, all the extra time has made me stumble upon Lightspeed so if I get a favorable answer back from the contact us page, I'll end up with a Mindscape mega pack! |

Hi, I have a problem with Designer in VS 2012. It is trying to use Modeling SDK 10 instead of 11: |
Yes currently it targets the 10.0 SDK bits so you will need a Visual Studio 2010 shell installation at the minimum to provide these. e.g. If you are running on Windows 8 with VS 2012 then installing the SQL 2012 client tools provide the VS 2010 shell bits.
