I've installed the free plugin to VS2010 and it's recognising SCSS files which show in Source Control Explorer with the S in a pink circle icon. When I try to open an SCSS file however, I get an exception error complaining about a plugin (never seen before the Web Workbench install). When I go to Mindscape > Web Workbench Settings I get another error complaining about an incorrect parameter. Hayulp! This looks like just the tool I need so I really want to get it working (and justify getting the paid version). Thanks |

Sorry to hear you are having these issues. Are you able to send through the ActivityLog.xml which is referenced in the first screenshot as that will hopefully contain the exception data associated with the crash. Do you have any other extensions installed? E.g Web Essentials or Chirpy? Can you also let me know what type of project you are working on and if it is located on a web folder or network share? The second error is a VS exception which is likely triggered by WW and this has occurred in the past when we are dealing with remotely accessed projects so I am wondering if this is another incarnation of that.

Hi Jeremy, thanks for getting back to me. I did grab the ActivityLog.xml file which is attached. Under Extension Manager, the plugins listed are: - Enterprise Library v5 Configuration Editor - NuGet Package Manager - Process Template Editor - WITDesigner The project was created as a Web Development project and is on an internal server under TFS. There isn't a solution file for the project though. We're just working on the files directly from Source Control Explorer. As you might gather, though I use Visual Studio I don't touch the config or setup and in fact Web Workbench was my first foray into plugins. I've tried installing WW on the other developer's machine too with identical errors cropping up and I tried an install of VS 2012 but again with the same result. Thanks for your help. Peter |

One of our friendly .NET developers has been very helpful and has been investigating from this end. I'm delighted to say it looks like creating a solution file for the project has gotten around the problem. Starting to use Web Workbench now to see if it's fully working. |

Thanks for the update and for the ActivityLog file - that did highlight the exception that was occuring and I have added in some additional checks which should prevent that exception in the future - this will be updated in the next nightly build. In the meantime let us know if you have any other queries regarding Web Workbench otherwise happy coding! :)
