Recently, I opened up a .coffee file and was surprised to see that Web Workbench gave me a "split screen", with one half showing the .coffee file and the other showing the generated javascript. This has since gone away, and I can't seem to find the setting to activate this feature. Anyone know how I can enable this? Thanks, Tom |

Hi Tom, This isn't actually something we currently provide so this may have been triggered by another extension. You can actually set this up using Visual Studio itself by opening both files and then dragging out one of the code files and re-docking it so you have two code windows active simultaneously but you would need to manually keep them in sync. I will have a look at adding an option for this though since it doesn't sound like it should take too much work so keep an eye on the Nightly News on the blog as we will list it on there when we add this in :)

Thanks for the reply - that explains why I couldn't find any setting! After more digging it looks like the feature is actually part of the Web Essentials 2012 extension. But I can only seem to make it work when Web Workbench is disabled. Any thoughts on that? |

Web Essentials conflicts with Web Workbench so unfortunately you will only be able to have one of them active at a time. I will be having a look at adding in something similar to WW shortly though so stay tuned :)
