Hi, I am facing license issues with Mindscape tools that are mixed with the WPF free tools in the toolbox. Is it possible to remove the Mindscape tools completely from visual studio? Thanks! |

Hello I have not been able to reproduce licensing issues in this scenario. Are you referring to the Mindscape free WPF controls, or the ones provided by Microsoft? The free Mindscape controls are part of the WPF Elements dll. If you uninstall WPF Elements, it will remove the tools from Visual Studio (but also remove our free controls). Alternatively, you can manually remove the Mindscape tab from the toolbox. To use the free controls that we provide in the WPF Elements dll, make sure you don't add any of the non-free controls to your application, only the AutoCompleteBox, Coverflow and PromptDecorator (more to come in version 6.0). Also, check that none of the non-free controls are added to the .licx file in the properties folder. If there are any Mindscape controls mentioned in the .licx file, remove those lines from the file, or delete the file entirely if all entries are Mindscape controls. Jason Fauchelle |
