Upon using a very old date lightspeed informs me; SqlDateTime overflow. Must be between 1/1/1753 12:00:00 AM and 12/31/9999 11:59:59 PM.Which is funny because it is a DateTime2 column in SQLServer which accept dates starting from at 1/1/1 |

Check that you are using either the SqlServer2008 or SqlServer2012 data providers. Use of datetime2 is only handled with these specific providers.
