Hello, I realized some strange behaviors regarding the positioning of nodes when I drag them from the "library" to the diagram surface.
Is this a bug inside the component? You can easily reproduce the behavior with the "Custom node" app from the Sample Explorer. |

Hello Dan I have not been able to reproduce this issue, most likely this bug has already been resolved. Please download the latest nightly build and let me know if the problem remains. Nightly builds for the trial version can be downloaded from here: http://www.mindscapehq.com/products/wpfdiagrams/nightly-builds Jason Fauchelle |

Hello Jason, thx for the fast reply. I've downloaded the nightly build from 3th of April and I can still reproduce the issue. I have attached you some screenshots. Hope this helps to reproduce the problem. Screenshots for point 1: preview_position.png: Shows the diagram with the position where try to drop the node. final_position.png: Shows the diagram with the added node. When you compare both Pictures you can clearly see that the preview und the final position are completely different. Screenshots for point 2: previewpositioncorner.png: Shows the position where I wanted to add the node. diagramsurfacedropping_node.png: Shows the diagram surface after I dropped the node on the surface. You can see no scroll bars but the node is placed outside the visible area. diagramsurfaceafterselectinganother_node.png: After hovering with the mouse over one of the visible nodes on the screen (start, zoom, end) the scrollbars suddenly occur. |

Hello Dan Thanks for the screenshots, though I still have not been able to reproduce this at my end. After downloading the nightly build, make sure you've installed it. You may need to uninstall the previous version to do this. If you've done this, please go to the Mindscape/WPF Diagrams/Bin directory, right click on the Mindscape.WpfDiagramming.Foundation.dll, go to properties, click on the "Details" tab and let me know what the Product Version number is. Hello Jason, I not sure but it seems that this problem only occur on Windows 8. I tried it on another PC with Windows 7 there I wasn't able to reproduce the problem. Do you support Windows 8? |
|
|
Hello Dan WPF Diagrams does support Windows 8 and I have tested this particular scenario on a Windows 8 machine and have still not been able to reproduce the issue. Since you weren't able to reproduce the issue on a different machine, it must have something to do with the Windows 8 machine. I would recommend updating as much software related to Windows 8 and .Net and see if this resolves the issue. Jason Fauchelle |

Hello Dan I believe I have found the cause of this issue and the reason I was unable to reproduce it before: This issue can occur when the font size of the operating system has been set to anything other than 100%. This issue has been resolved and will be available in the next nightly build. The next nightly build will be available at around 1200 GMT. This will be downloadable from here: http://www.mindscapehq.com/products/wpfdiagrams/nightly-builds Jason Fauchelle |

Hello Jason, thx for that. I changed the front size to 100% and everything works fine. Will check the nightly build later... |
