NUODB is something like distributed DB with an inbuilt transaction control. (Conceptually something like if Casandra and Zookeeper had a good looking love child )
I wraps this all up with a 'Standard SQL' front end.
Adding lightspeed support would be pretty cool, just saying. Since the marketing copy says it uses standard SQL, that would be a sub set of T-SQL and therefor hopefully not too difficult to port to?!
Being able to make LINQ queries against a scalable distributed db with minimal fuss would be really useful and a great selling point. (Marketing copy: Drop in upgrade to CumuloNimbus grade cloud computing)
