Configurable tick mark styles
Tick marks can be restyled using standard styling included with Silverlight. Configuration to show above or below the slider, manage frequency, and snapping to tick marks are all included in the slider controls.
Orientation control
Not every slider is positioned horizontally so the slider in Silverlight Elements supports both the horizontal and vertical orientation styles.
Dual sliders and range controls
When users need to select a range you can use the Dual Slider to specify a maximum and minimum for the slider and a maximum and minimum for the range (e.g. slider is 1 to 100, the user can select a range between 5 and 10 anywhere on the scale) that they can select on the slider.
Mouse wheel support
Users can interact with the sliders using their mouse wheel - scrolling the mouse wheel will move the slider position.
